Salaam alaikum and hello everyone. Merhaba, Hallo, Annyeong, Hi and Namaste everyone. Okay, so I used every language I could remember learning at a point in my life *LOL*. Language as a barrier As-salaam alaikum everyone. How are you all today? This post is about the topic “LANGUAGE AS A BARRIER!”   First of all, language as defined by the Oxford dictionary is a method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way. It can also be defined as a system of communication used by a certain group of people i.e a country or even a tribe.   According to www.britannica.com , Language is a system of conventional spoken, manual, or written symbols by means of which human beings, as members of a social group and participants in its culture, express themselves. The functions of  language  include communication, the expression of identity, play, imaginative expression, and emotional release.   In essence, language is a form of communication and expression of one’s feelings, emotions and thoughts.
